Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the most unique resorts in the Orlando area. From the lobby to your room, you’ll be surrounded by African-inspired decor.

The highlight of this hotel is the fact that it has 4 savannas filled with beautiful wildlife. You can request a room with views of giraffes, zebras, gazelle, and more. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is home to over 30 species of African wildlife.

This resort has two gorgeous pools, the Uzima Springs Pool and the Samawati Springs Pool. The Uzimi pool will make you feel as though you’ve stepped into your own personal tropical oasis, surrounded by large canopy trees. This pool has a gently sloped entry to mimic a beach, as well as a 67-foot-long water slide that both kids and adults will enjoy. Feeling hungry? There is a nearby lounge and bar for you to grab a poolside snack or beverage. The Samawati Springs pool is a little smaller but has a 128-foot waterslide and zero-depth entry. This pool also features a nearby bar and lounge.

Stormalong Bay is a 750,000-gallon pool that will make you feel as though you’ve just arrived at the beach! You can explore the life-size shipwreck replica or slide down one of the tallest waterslides of any Disney hotel. There are 3 whirlpool spas so you don’t need to worry about them feeling overly crowded. The true gem of this pool is that it has a sandy bottom and a lazy river. If you’re planning on spending some days away from the theme parks during your next Disney stay, this hotel is perfect for spending a day by the pool.

When it comes to visiting the theme parks, the Yacht Club is very conveniently located. It is within walking distance from EPCOT and only a relaxing boat ride away from Hollywood Studios. As is the case with all Disney hotels, you can take a bus to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.
