Hollywood Studios Overview

Hollywood Studios originally opened as Disney-MGM Studios back in 1989. Despite the name change, it is still designed to be a place of adventure, wonder, and imagination; a park dedicated to the magic of Hollywood.

Hollywood Tower Hotel

While this park’s icon has changed over time, it is currently represented by the Hollywood Tower Hotel, a perfect embodiment of glamor and mystery. During the day, the Hotel is home to the thrilling Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. At night, it serves as the backdrop for numerous nighttime shows depending on the time of year.

Step Into Your Favorite Movies with Immersive Lands and Attractions

Hollywood Studios is the park to visit for fans of movies and adventure, specifically those who love the world of Star Wars. This theme park is home to Galaxy’s Edge, a land designed to make you feel as though you’ve stepped off-planet and into the world of Batuu.

Toy Story Land can also be found in this park, an area of Hollywood Studios where everything is larger-than-life, making you feel as though you’ve just become the same size as one of Andy or Bonnie’s toys.

Or maybe you just want to step back into time. A stroll down Hollywood Boulevard will make you feel as though you’ve stepped back into the Golden Age of Hollywood with old-fashioned shops and the iconic Brown Derby Restaurant.

Become the Main Character with Thrilling Rides

Hollywood Studios hosts one of Disney World’s most successful and immersive rides to date. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is an experience that lasts about 20-25 minutes, and pulls you directly into the battle between the First Order and the Resistance. The anticipation for this ride was so high when it first opened that Disney did not even open a standby line – guests could only experience this attraction by obtaining a boarding group number. Now, guests are able to wait in a standby line or purchase an Individual Lighting Lane.

Thrill rides such as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror are also available for those looking for speed and major drops. For those looking for a more relaxed ride, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is the first ride attraction that stars the head mouse himself.

Whether you need help booking Lightning Lanes or don’t know how to schedule your time to make sure you hit all of the major rides, we are happy you help you make the most of your day in Hollywood Studios.
