EPCOT Overview

EPCOT is one of Disney’s most unique theme parks and is currently home to some of Disney World’s newest rides. For those looking to enjoy some of the best food and drink Disney World offers, EPCOT is a can’t-miss theme park.

EPCOT’s park icon is the home of the Spaceship Earth attraction. This 180-foot-tall geodesic sphere is home to a 15-minute attraction that teaches guests about the history of human communication. However, it is the physical housing of the attraction that EPCOT is most known for. During the day, this white sphere makes for a fantastic photo op, and at night, it is illuminated by colorful pulsating lights.

One of the best offerings of EPCOT is the fact that you can enjoy cuisine inspired by 11 different countries. World Showcase is home to 11 different country-themed pavilions, all centered around a peaceful lagoon. Each country has unique shopping and dining experiences, with some even featuring a ride inspired by a movie or character of that country. To make for an even more authentic experience, cast members working in each pavilion are typically from that country.

Most countries offer both table-service and quick-service options. This theme park truly has something for every type of guest who might visit EPCOT. EPCOT is famous for its four seasonal festivals. Each one features different decor, entertainment, food booths, and special merchandise. The Epcot International Festival of the Arts is the shortest and takes place during January and February. The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival starts in March and ends in early July The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival goes from July to November, while the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays kicks off right after and goes from November to December.
