Best Theme Park Bars in Magic Kingdom

When Walt Disney first opened the Disney theme parks, he wanted them to be family-oriented. Because of this, alcohol was not to be served throughout the theme parks because Walt felt that people walking around with alcohol would go against his family-friend vision. While EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom all have numerous bars and alcoholic options, Magic Kingdom was the last theme park to start serving alcohol.

Even to this day, there are still restrictions as to what and where you can drink in Magic Kingdom. You won’t see anyone walking around with an alcoholic beverage to help keep a family-oriented atmosphere. While in Magic Kingdom, you can only order alcohol at a table service restaurant and the drink must be consumed while at your table – you can’t bring it with you after your meal.

Even though you can’t walk up to a bar and order a drink in Magic Kingdom, there are still a number of locations where you can order a drink. This post will focus on the best table service restaurants to purchase alcohol while in Magic Kingdom.

Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen

The Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen is the perfect place for guests looking for adventurous meals and beverages. This adventure-themed restaurant is located near the Sunshine Tree Terrace and is perfect for fans of the Jungle Cruise. According to the Walt Disney Worldwebsite, the story behind this canteen is that the same skippers who guided you through the Jungle Cruise have opened this restaurant to serve fellow adventures and families.

Since you’re being served by Jungle Cruise skippers, you can likely expect puns and dad jokes galore as you order your meals and beverages. This experience can vary depending on the server, but even without the cheesy jokes, you’ll still be surrounded by Jungle Cruise decor to help you truly feel like you’re in for a day of adventure.

The Skipper Canteen offers a handful of specialty cocktails, as well as numerous beers and wines. The Jungle Bird, for example, is made with Gosling Black Seal Rum, Campari Liqueur, cane syrup, with pineapple and lime juice, and is popular among guests.

For younger guests traveling with you, the Canteen also has several mocktail options. The Enchanted Orange Dream is a delicious blend of Dole Whip Orange and vanilla soft-serve with an orange candy rim that will delight guests of all ages.

The Canteen is also known for having some of the best food in all of Magic Kingdom. They have a full menu of entrées with dishes like crispy-fried chicken with chili-soy glaze and rice noodles with sauteed shrimp, along with some delicious dessert options.

Cinderella’s Royal Table

If you’re going to have an alcoholic beverage in Magic Kingdom, you might as well go all out and do it in style by drinking and dining inside Cinderella’s castle. Cinderella’s Royal Table is a character dining restaurant where you can meet with the Disney princesses while you enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

During breakfast, you can order the Royal Breakfast Flight, which comes with a mimosa made with sparkling wine and orange juice, a Canella Bellini sparkling peach cocktail, and sangria. This restaurant also serves all of the flight drinks separately, as well as a bloody mary.

At lunch and dinner, you can order various wines, champagnes, and beers. There are also four different champagne and wine flights that you can order so that you can sample a variety of what the castle has to offer.

Because of its location and the fact that you can meet the princesses, this is one of the most difficult Disney reservations to book. If you want to dine like royalty, let us know and we can help make your dreams come true and secure you a reservation.

Be Our Guest

Another way to dine like royalty is to get reservations at Be Our Guest for lunch or dinner. This restaurant is located inside the Beast’s castle and has three separate dining areas: the Forbidden West Wing, the Grand Ballroom, and the Rose Gallery. You may even catch a glimpse of the Beast walking by, though it is important to note that this is not a character dining experience.

You are not guaranteed to meet the Beast or get a picture with him like you are with other character dining restaurants.

This royal restaurant has a few specialty cocktails, as well as a selection of champagne, wine, beer, and cider. They also offer some private-label champagne and wines that you can purchase by the bottle.

Similar to Cinderella’s Royal Table, Be Our Guest is a popular choice for guests. If this is a place you want to dine for your next Disney vacation, we can help make that happen.

The Plaza Restaurant

Last but not least, The Plaza Restaurant is located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., and is one of the best places to sit and get out of the Florida sun for an hour or so. This restaurant is both charming and elegant and offers both light and hearty meals so it truly has something for everyone in the family.

The Plaza has a small selection of wine and beer, as well as some specialty cocktails you won’t find anywhere else like the Jack Rose, a mix of Laird’s Applejack Brandy, hibiscus, grenadine, and lemon and lime juice, or the Plaza Mimosa.

They also have a variety of milkshakes you can order, though sadly there are no alcoholic milkshakes on the menu as of right now.

While there are no true bars or quick-service counters to order alcohol in Magic Kingdom, there are a number of places where you can enjoy an adult beverage. To help plan out the perfect Magic Kingdom day, let us know your must-dos and we can guarantee that you have a magical time.
